Primary Links

Finding suitable ICT-based texts on the Internet to use in shared, guided or independent reading is often time consuming and fraught with problems. This page provides links related to text type. It is not organised into key stages as some sites contain content relevant to both. The texts could be used with a projector and/or interactive whiteboard to enable teachers to highlight key features with their class. They could also be used on a screen with smaller groups of children as part of shared reading. The DfES recommend that the equivalent of one in every five texts should be ICT-based.
