Making William Morris patterns with a painting program

The first step is to look carefully at what a Morris pattern involves.

Look to see how many stamps make up the pattern, there are usually bigger main images and smaller images between repeats.

Experiment with images until you make some that you are going to use.
Amalgamate images to make your stamps.
Space your main image stamps and your smaller image stamps to make your repeating pattern. Choose an appropriate background.
