Hartington Trip

Following a trip to Hartington, the pupils were asked to compile a guide sheet from the information they had collected during their visit for the pupils going on the same trip the following month.

Level 3
Pupils use ICT to save information and to find and use appropriate stored information, following straightforward lines of enquiry. They use ICT to generate, develop, organise and present their work. They share and exchange their ideas with others. They use sequences of instructions to control devices and achieve specific outcomes. They make appropriate choices when using ICT-based models or simulations to help them find things out and solve problems. They describe their use of ICT and its use outside school.

Next Steps

Ask pupils to discuss how this guide sheet could be improved. Think of the use of call outs in the guide, that is unusual,  the positioning of the two graphics at the end and the strange use of columns within the second column need addressing, also the use of Word Art – particularly so large needs discussion.  The organisation of text could possible be improved with headings?
