Pupils use ICT to save information and to find and use appropriate stored information, following straightforward lines of enquiry. They use ICT to generate, develop, organise and present their work. They share and exchange their ideas with others. They use sequences of instructions to control devices and achieve specific outcomes. They make appropriate choices when using ICT-based models or simulations to help them find things out and solve problems. They describe their use of ICT and its use outside school.
Next Steps
Inconsistencies in writing style would indicate to the teacher that this is not all the pupil's own work, some sections have been copied and pasted directly from the Internet, e.g. "Most rocks were caught in the whirling current turning the water a milky colour; this made the bottom of the crevasse cave in." when compared with "They discovered this out because on the inside they found a thin layer of mushy dirty ice and then a thick level of clean ice." Next steps for this pupil would be to understand the need to firstly acknowledge the copyright of information and secondly to write up the information found in their own words.
Avoid underlining headings, as that implies a hyperlink, use bold text instead.
