Curriculum Visions produce resource books for pupils (and a teachers guide) that are complemented by a CD Rom for each of the topics.

Books can be used in class sets or for group research, with the CD being used as further research.

Easiteach Geography provides a set of tools designed to support the teaching of Geography in a whole class or group setting.  Tools in Easiteach Geography include a map builder with pictures and Ordnance Survey® symbols, road, rail and other line type 'brushes', a navigator tool for creating and following paths using left-right or compass directions, compass roses, scaleable, calibrated on-screen rulers and a distometer tool for measuring paths, shapes, journeys.

InfoMapper

InfoMapper is a web based resource that facilitates the use of maps and aerial photographs, allowing teachers and pupils to create layers of maps and information and combine the display of several maps at one time, for example side by side, overlaying etc The use of InfoMapper will offer a superb opportunity for partnership local study and transition work in both Geography and History, even more effective if you have an IWB - but not essential. Once purchased you will never have to buy an ordnance survey map of the UK again.

There is a video – In the Eye of the Storm which provides a very good background to the issues in the books. The CD Rom provides a range of activities (maths, literacy, science, geography) which could be used by individuals or groups.
