    Audio Network Schools Licence

The Audio Network Archive can be found at http://audio.lgfl.org.uk/

Oxfordshire now has an Audio Network Schools Licence for all Oxfordshire Schools through the National Education Network and Regional Broadband Consortia.

Schools have access to 3,587 high quality MP3 audio music files that can be used to enhance pupils’ work and teachers’ lessons.

The clips:

-           have curriculum relevance meeting the needs of e-learning and the DfES White Paper 'Harnessing the Technology'

-           will support many areas of the curriculum in Primary, Secondary and Special schools.

-           meet the requirements of examinations and the new generation of e-assessment

-           have been composed, performed and recorded to the highest professional requirements of the media industry especially for use in film, television and media production.

The site is “clean” i.e. it has no viruses and no pop-up advertising.

The files, composer, performer, recording and synchronization rights have been cleared for educational use in school.

The only restriction is that clips cannot be distributed or performed outside of school or published on the World Wide Web e.g. on school websites without additional licences, but those licences can be purchased by the school via the website which will provide a one-step process for public performance/distribution.

The site, which can be accessed from anywhere within the OCN, has a simple-to-use search, select and download process through a specially commissioned Audio Network education website hosted at the London Grid for Learning. http://audio.lgfl.org.uk/
