After four years as an ICT Advisory Teacher, Interactive Whiteboard Consultant and, most recently, a Personalised Learning Consultant, Steph Lennon has departed the ICT Advisory Team for a new, exciting challenge. Steph has joined Oxfordshire’s School Improvement Team and after four weeks in she is said to be having tremendous fun. Steph is currently based at St Peter’s, Cassington as Acting Headteacher. Steph said that it was a big decision to move from the ICT Team but she felt that it was time to plunge back into school. As well as meeting many teachers and making many friends, Steph felt that during her time with the ICT Team she had learnt so much and really enjoyed working within a very hard working team of people who were extremely dedicated to raising the profile of ICT within the curriculum. She was particularly fond of being able to share expertise with teachers to inspire them to motivate and engage their children in school, particularly with Interactive Whiteboards. ‘I only hope that I will be able to continue promoting the use of ICT for learning and teaching within my posts in schools across Oxfordshire,’ she says. And as we stated four years ago in Ox-On-Line, Steph is still, very much an avid canoeist and also still enjoys - a more frequent - glass of wine. We all wish her well in her new challenges. |
