Teddy Bear's Picnic: 'Walk in the Woods' To understand and visualise directional language The program is a simulation based on modelling a walk by following instructions to get teddy to the picnic. It is suitable for pupils aged 4-6 yrs. It could be linked to geography as simple map work or maths with learning the directional language. This exercise starts to address the ICT learning objectives: · To be able to use the mouse to choose or make something happen. · That computers can represent real or fantasy situations

The Model Shop: 'Sandwich Making' Using a spreadsheet This exercise introduces pupils to using a spreadsheet in order to keep track of the cost of various selections of food in their sandwiches. It is linked with maths, but also could be part of a healthy eating project. It is suitable for pupils aged 7 -11 yrs.
Level two is making a sandwich with two fillings and entering the data into the spreadsheet. Level three is making a sandwich with three fillings and entering both data and a formula into the spreadsheet. This begins to address the ICT learning objective:
